Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of visual accurate electrophysiology (VAE) combined with tamsulosin hydrochloride in the treatment of type ⅢB prostatitis. Methods Ninety-five patients diagnosed with type ⅢB prostatitis, treated at the FirstAffiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical University from March 2021 to March 2023,were selected for this study. The patients were randomly assigned to three groups: a drug group consisting of 32 cases, an electrophysiology group with 30 cases, and a combination groupcomprising 33 cases, utilizing the random number table method. During the study, five patients dropped out, resulting in a final cohort of90 patients, with 30 patients in each of the drug, electrophysiology, and combination groups. The drug group received tamsulosin hydrochloride sustained-release capsules, the electrophysiology group underwent visual accurate electrophysiology therapy, and the combination group received both treatments. All study participants underwent medical infrared thermography and reported adverse reactions atthree time points: before treatment, after 10 days of treatment, and after 2 months of treatment. Additionally, participants completed theNational Institutes of Health Chronic Prostatitis Symptom Index (NIH-CPSI), the International Prostate Symptom Score (IPSS),the Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9),and the Generalized Anxiexy Disorde-7 (GAD-7).Results After 10 days and 2 months of treatment, the NIH-CPSI,IPSS,PHQ-9,and GAD-7 scores of all three patient groups were significantly lower compared to before treatment (P<0.05). Additionally, after 2 months of treatment, there were statistically significant differences in NIH-CPSI,IPSS,PHQ-9,and GAD-7 scores between patients in the combined group and those in the drug and electrophysiology groups (P<0.05). After a 2 months treatment, the combination group exhibited a total effective rate of 96.67%,while the drug group and electrophysiology group showed total effectiverates of 76.67% and 73.33% respectively.Statistical analysis revealed a significant difference in efficacy among the three groups(P< 0.05), with the combination group demonstrating superior efficacy compared to both the drug group and electrophysiology group.Con? clusion VAE is safe and effective in the treatment of type ⅢB prostatitis, and the efficacy of VAE combined with tamsulosin in thetreatment of type ⅢB prostatitis is more significant than that of the single treatment, which is worthy of the clinical application. |
